Nestled in the very south of Mallorca, Hotel Migjorn is perfectly positioned for a beach holiday. Just 30 minutes from Palma airport, our location is also wonderfully convenient.
The southern tip of the island is known for being sunnier and generally warmer than the rest of the island—a subtle difference that temperature charts often don’t reflect. From the hotel, the Caribbeanlike natural beach of Es Trenc is just a five-minute drive away, and the stunning coves of the southeast coast are only a little further along the shoreline.
Es Trenc stretches over seven kilometres and borders a protected natural reserve of sand dunes and salt lagoons—home to flamingos and other water birds. Its shallow, crystal-clear waters warm up quickly early in the season, making it a perfect playground for children who love splashing in the sea, building sandcastles, or searching for shells.

The famous coves along the southeast coast are just 20–30 minutes from our hotel, including Cala Llombards, Cala Mondragó, Cala Sa Nau, and many more. These sandy coves with gently sheltered waters—often embraced by dramatic cliffs—make them ideal for families. Many coves also offer convenient parking, charming beach restaurants, and additional facilities, so you’re sure to find your favourite spot.
For those who love being active, the south of Mallorca is a true playground. From Es Trenc to Cala d’Or, you can rent SUPs, kayaks, surfboards, jet skis, and motorboats. Various operators also offer boat tours, fishing and diving trips, and horseback riding along the beach (available in the low season).
Adventures on Land
Mallorca’s magic extends far beyond the water.
Within walking distance, a charming ostrich farm invites families to meet and feed the birds. Just 10 minutes from the hotel, you can explore local marine life at a small aquarium, while the impressive Palma Aquarium—ranked among the top 20 in Europe—showcases international underwater habitats.
Palma, nestled in its beautiful bay, is only 30 minutes away. Its narrow streets, hidden courtyards, and historic architecture create a wonderfully picturesque setting—perfect for a leisurely stroll with the family, followed by a pause at one of the many delightful cafés.
About 15 minutes from the hotel, one of Mallorca’s most charming villages hosts one of the island’s most beautiful markets twice a week.
For nature lovers, a nearby botanical garden features a striking collection of cacti, and several lighthouses can be reached via short coastal walks with breathtaking views —perfect for gentle family adventures.
For a dose of excitement, Mallorca offers several high-rope adventure parks also designed for children and a lively water park, perfect for a fun-filled day in the sun.
There is so much more to explore on our sun-drenched island, from a dinosaur park and dramatic stalactite caves to idyllic mountain villages, the historic tram in Sóller, citrus and olive farms, aloe vera plantations, go-kart tracks, and more.
