Only 30 minutes from Palma airport, our Hotel Migjorn in the south of Mallorca is perfectly located for a beach vacation: in about 5 minutes you can reach the Caribbean-like natural beach Es Trenc and only a little further you will find the gorgeous coves of the Southeast Coast.
Es Trenc beach stretches across 7km and constitutes the border to the sea of a beautiful, protected ecosystem with sand dunes and salt lagoons, a paradise for flamingos and other water birds.
Its shallow, pristine waters warm up quickly to comfortable temperatures early in the year – a perfect playground for children who love to splash in the sea, build sand castles or look for shells.
B.E.A.C.H. – Best Escape Anyone Can Have
The famous coves on the southeast coast are only 20-30 minutes from our hotel, such as Cala Llombards, Cala Mondrago, Cala Sa Nau and many more.
Their sandy beaches and calm water, often protected by cliffs, are ideally suited for families. Many of them feature close-by parking lots, small beach restaurants and further facilities. So you will certainly discover your favorite cove.
Also for sport lovers, the south of Mallorca offers plenty of fun. At Es Trenc up to Cala D’Or you can rent SUPs, kayaks, surfboards, jet skis, and motor boats. Various operators offer boat tours, fishing and diving trips, and horseback riding on the beach.
Adventures on Land
Even outside the water Mallorca has a lot to offer.
Close-by you can explore several farms that offer adventures like strawberry picking, feeding animals or riding a tractor. 10 minutes from the hotel, you can experience colorful local fish and plants in an aquarium, while the large aquarium in Palma, one of the top 20 in Europe, displays international underwater worlds. Speaking of Palma, it is a charming city just 30 minutes from us, steeped in history with its many small alleys and courtyards, architectural masterpieces and culinary specialties.
About 15 minutes from the hotel the eventually prettiest village on Mallorca features one of the most amazing markets on the island twice per week.
There is so much more to enjoy on our sunny island, like a nicely curated dinosaur park, impressive stalactite caves, idyllic mountain villages, Soller with its historic tram, an aloe vera farm, go-kart tracks, and so on…
